Student Athletes Recognized

The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) recently recognized Colin Sullivan and Casey Griffin of Cleveland State Community College with the Distinguished Academic All-American during the 2012-2013 academic year.

To qualify for this achievement, each athlete must complete three full-time semesters and a minimum of 45 semester credit hours of college work, must participate at the varsity level and must have an accumulated GPA of 3.6 or better on a 4.0 scale.

Sullivan, a member of the CSCC baseball team from LaVergne, TN, reeived the NJCAA Award for Superior Academic Achievement. Sullivan has maintained a 3.82 GPA. Griffin, a member of the CSCC Softball team from Tunnel Hill, GA, recieved the NJCAA Award for Exemplary Academic Achievement. Griffin has maintained a GPA of 3.76.
